Who we are

OSRS Card Exchange (“the site”) is operated by TSMW DEVELOPMENT LTD (“we”, “us”), registered in England and Wales under company number 17204316. You can reach us at contact@osrscardexchange.com.

Accepting these terms

By registering an account you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Account holders who registered before acceptance was recorded at sign-up have separately confirmed their agreement.

Eligibility and your account

You must be old enough to hold an account under the law that applies to you, and old enough to play Old School RuneScape under Jagex’s own terms. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. We store your password only as a secure hash and can never see it — so keep it safe, as we cannot recover it for you.

Acceptable use

When using the site you agree not to:

• break any applicable law, or infringe anyone’s rights;
• post content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, hateful, deceptive or spam, or impersonate anyone;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, other accounts or our systems, or disrupt the service;
• scrape, overload or misuse the site or its features, including the forums, voting and trading tools.

You retain ownership of what you post, but grant us a licence to host and display it as part of running the site. We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

Where we identify malicious practice or an attempt to abuse our services, we reserve the right to collect and retain the IP addresses involved, and to use them to restrict or block access to the site. This is done only where we believe there may be a security concern within our platform, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Trading between players

The site helps players find each other and coordinate trades of Old School RuneScape TCG cards; the actual trade takes place between players in the game and its plugin, not on this site. We do not take part in trades, hold any cards, or guarantee that any player will trade fairly or at all. We cannot verify which cards a player holds or how they play.

The completed-trade counts and other reputation signals are provided for information only and are not a guarantee. You trade at your own risk, and you are responsible for checking both sides of any in-game trade before you confirm it.

Independent relationship with OSRS TCG

OSRS Card Exchange is an independently operated community website providing optional tools for players of third-party Old School RuneScape trading card game plugins and the game modes built around them. The OSRS TCG card game is the work of its creators, and full credit for it belongs to them; we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, maintained by, approved by, or officially connected with OSRS TCG, Azderi or any OSRS TCG developer, nor with RuneLite or Jagex Ltd. Compatibility with an OSRS TCG feature or data format does not indicate cooperation, partnership, authorisation, endorsement or involvement by the OSRS TCG developers. As the site grows we may integrate with further plugins and game modes on the same basis: every tool here is optional, offered for the community's reference and coordination, and the site remains independent of every plugin's developers.

The OSRS TCG card game — its booster packs, rarities and card concepts — is the work of the plugin’s creators, and we do not claim ownership of any of the cards displayed on the site.

Legacy OSRS TCG-derived information

During a temporary migration period, the site displays certain legacy compatibility information obtained from or calculated using material made available in the public OSRS TCG repository. That information includes the selection of items and monsters treated as OSRS TCG cards, OSRS TCG rarity classifications, OSRS TCG card scores and thresholds, pack-tier probabilities and certain OSRS TCG-specific catalogue categories. We do not represent that we independently created those OSRS TCG-specific legacy fields.

Repository-derived material is used in reliance on the BSD 2-Clause License published with the referenced upstream repository snapshot. The upstream copyright notice, licence conditions, disclaimer, repository version and retrieval date are reproduced on our OSRS TCG attribution and licensing page. The presence of that attribution does not mean that OSRS TCG, Azderi or any OSRS TCG developer approves of or participates in this website.

Migration of legacy information

The website is migrating away from the OSRS TCG-derived catalogue selection, rarity system, scoring system and probability information. We may alter, replace, relabel, archive or remove legacy compatibility fields during that migration. Historical references may be retained where reasonably necessary to explain old trades, collection records, forum posts or highscores.

Tools for the wider OSRS TCG community

OSRS Card Exchange is an independent community website for Old School RuneScape Trading Card Game plugins. Today we provide tools for players of the OSRS TCG plugin, and we may integrate with more plugins and OSRS TCG game modes as they emerge, so the site can grow into a genuinely useful, community-based tool for the whole Old School RuneScape Trading Card Game community. Every such integration follows the same principles set out above: we claim no ownership over any provider’s cards or content, we identify what derives from each provider’s work, and no integration implies affiliation with, or endorsement by, that plugin’s developers.

Advertising and affiliate links

The site is free and there is nothing to buy. Advertising is what pays for running it. Alongside the ads served by Google, some sponsor banners are affiliate links through Awin, an affiliate network — and one advert on the site is always for Damn, Zombies, a game made by the same studio that runs this site. Every one of them is labelled as an advertisement where it appears.

If you follow an affiliate link and buy something, the shop pays us a commission. It costs you nothing and changes no price. It does not make us a party to the sale: your contract is with the shop, and any question about delivery, returns, refunds or warranty is theirs rather than ours. We are not responsible for a shop’s goods, its terms or its privacy practices.

No page on this site is for sale. Card data, quest data, rarities, highscores and every ranking here are compiled from the sources described elsewhere in these terms. An advertiser cannot buy a mention in them, and paying for a banner does not change what any other page says. What we are paid for is the banner, and the banner says so.

Not affiliated with Jagex

This is an independent fan project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Jagex Ltd. “Old School RuneScape” and “RuneScape” are trademarks of Jagex Ltd. Card and game data and artwork remain the property of their respective owners and are used here for the community’s reference.

Availability and disclaimers

We work to keep the site available and accurate, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. Game statistics, card rarities and quest data are drawn from third-party and community sources — including legacy information derived from the OSRS TCG project, as identified on our OSRS TCG attribution page — and may be incomplete or out of date. We may change, suspend or withdraw features at any time.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss arising from trades or other dealings between players, from your inability to access the site, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Because the site is provided free of charge, our total liability to you in connection with it is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Closing your account

You may stop using the site at any time and ask us to close your account by contacting contact@osrscardexchange.com. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or where we reasonably need to. Some records that others rely on may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the “last updated” date above shows when, and significant changes may require you to accept the revised terms before continuing. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
